  • Now you have to stop the Windows service and to do this type net stop wuauserv and then hit the enter button.
  • Now it is the turn to rename the software distribution folder. So type ren c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution softwaredistribution.Old and hit Enter button.
  • Then type net start wuauserv and hit the Enter Button.
  • After doing these steps, close the command prompt. And hit the Enter button.

##Restart Windows Module Installer Service

Follow the below steps to restart Windows Module Installer Service.
